Greg Rippin grew up outside Pittsburgh, PA, and Greensboro, NC. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he studied classical piano and recording arts, and earned a Master's Degree in Music Technology from New York University.
Living in New York City, Greg has worked for over ten years as a freelance audio engineer, specializing in audio production and post-production for film and television. His clients include television networks, advertising agencies, film composers, post houses, and independent film directors.
Greg recently returned to Pittsburgh, where he continues to freelance as an audio engineer, consultant, and teacher. In addition to being the engineer and owner of Ripley, Greg is the Location Audio Manager at Market Street Sound, and is an Adjunct Professor at Duquesne Univeristy.
When not busy making the world's audio safe for consumption, Greg enjoys making beer in his basement, and cheering the Pens with his wife Olivia.
