Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle is at the very top of a steep hill, the tallest point in town. There's been a castle here since the 1100's, but evidence of human habitation of the hill goes back as far as 900 BC. It's history is long and bloody, and it continues to be part royal residence, part military garrison, part museum.
