The Filling Station & Banshee Labyrinth

After the underground tour, we search for an open restaurant on the Royal Mile, and come across The Filling Station, an "American Style" place.  Having had our fill of pub food over the past few days, we decide to give it a shot.

The "New York Style Deep Dish Pizza" is actually quite good (for those of you who don't know better, NYC makes only thin crust pizza; Chicago is the home of deep dish).   This place also sells Budweiser- this is the first we've seen it all trip.

Next, we head to a series of haunted bars.  First, Banshee Labyrinth.  This place is built into a number of the underground vaults (a block down from the ones we toured earlier), and is divided into several dozen interconnected small rooms and corridors, with multiple bars located throughout.  One room is a small movie theater showing one of the Lord of the Rings movies.  Another room has pool tables. One has very loud music, a disco ball, a smoke machine, and an overpowering strobe light.  The lighting is low, and the color changes constantly.  The overall effect is eerie and unsettling.
