We arrive in Edinburgh's Waverly Station and walk to our hotel, the Edinburgh Central Guest House.  It's on a side street, a beautiful Georgian building in the New Town part of the city. We drop our bags in our room and head to lunch at Cafe Rouge, a nearby French cafe.  French food is very popular in this part of Scotland (the French and the Scots have shared centuries of trade and a mutual hatred of the English).
