Oddly, the businesses in the area are all called "Earls Court" (no apostrophe) but the neighborhood and tube stop are called "Earl's Court."  This is mentioned several times to us (in pub menus and the like) but is never explained.

We’re still getting used to the flow of traffic.  Luckily, the intersections are all labeled for pedestrian safety.
